About Us
Through my extensive travels around the world, I've had the privilege of deeply engaging with local communities. This direct interaction has allowed me to immerse myself in their cultures and societal values, fostering a profound appreciation for their perspectives and worldviews.
My diverse educational background, spanning acting, teaching, and artistry, is anchored in the sciences, particularly Rocket Science. Acting introduced me to a world where the tangible—shapes, sizes, numbers—took a backseat to the abstract. Conversations revolved around tempo, tone, behavior, and color. Material characteristics were often deemed irrelevant. Instead, I was frequently asked, “How does it make you feel?” This question, I found, was even more daunting than the most complex partial differential equations.
However, I soon realized that my technical training provided a unique lens through which I could analyze the scenes and characters I portrayed. The scientific skills of observation and analysis enabled me to capture the subtle nuances of human behavior that were essential for my roles. This intersection of science and art sparked my creativity and transformed my work into a source of joy. For instance, when training new engineers, I would use parody songs to explain complex systems—like using a catchy tune to demystify convolutional encoding.
It was through this blend of disciplines that STEAMM™—Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math, & Music—was born.
Imagine a world where engineers could turn their technical creations into works of art, making the world not only more functional but more beautiful. Conversely, imagine artists infusing their work with science and technology, creating a stronger and more innovative society.
Will you join me on this journey?
